On a day that was set to send a chill down everyone’s spine the VW Life crew and a bunch of friends in Buses, Beetles and Karmann Ghias set out to visit The Gas Station located on Highway 304 , Bastrop, Texas. Were they all low on gas? And what’s so special about this particular gas station? The answers to those two questions are “no” and ” a lot”.
Horror film fans will no doubt know that this place was used in the classic cult horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and featured as the Gulf Oil gas station and BBQ restaurant. A few years ago this place was restored and became, what the owners call, a horror barbecue resort! Watch the video to see whether they got away with their lives!
